Trauma Healing Listening Circles

A safe space to share stories of trauma and start the healing process

Healing Listening Circles are a safe space to share stories of trauma and its negative effects on mental health, provide an opportunity to learn how to overcome the cultural stigmas of mental health, learn self-care techniques, and increase access to applicable resources and mental health care providers for Black parents, caregivers and guardians.

 

In these healing circles, you will learn how to talk about the trauma and pain you have experienced in your life within a small group of up to 10 people. These healing circles meet once a week in 2-hour sessions for 7 weeks. Each session is facilitated by certified Trauma Healing facilitators and/or a mental healthcare provider such as a psychotherapist, social worker, or a counsellor.
